Adrian Coome At the age of 14 Adrian would juggle his schooling at Rockhampton with part time work around the stables. Upon completion of year 10 Adrian started his apprenticeship with Daryl Hansen, a position that would last 6 months. He was then indentured to David Vale for the same amount of time before finding his current master Don Critch. The pair formed a great partnership whilst also becoming great mates. From this time on Adrian's career certainly went ahead in leaps and bounds outriding his provincial claim in just 12 months, winning both the Rockhampton and Mackay Seniors and Apprentices Premierships, a feat unsurpassed by any other apprentice in Australia!
Adrian's skills have been in great
demand in Brisbane by all the leading trainers which has recently
seen him ride his 20th metropolitan winner. Adrian's natural talent
and determination to improve coupled with his affinity with the
thoroughbred should see him destined for much greater heights.
