GALLOWAY HITS LEAD IN BRISBANE PREMIERSHIP 20/09/08

With another double last Saturday, in form jockey Scott Galloway has hit the lead in the Brisbane Premiership.

Whilst the in form Galloway has been riding with plenty of confidence, it has been two horses that has helped propel him to the top of the premiership. Double Or Nothin has won his last three starts for astute trainer Brain Smith whist the consistent Regal Castanea for Toowoomba trainer Ron Macrae has saluted at three of his past four starts in town.

With another good book of rides this Saturday (Regal Castanea, Orient Success, Blood n' Bone and Carnegie Prince) it's expected Scotty will continue on his winning way.

DITTMAN & BOWDITCH RETURN 07/09/08

It will be a long awaited return for two of TM's star jockeys with Luke Dittman and Joe Bowditch returning to the saddle in the coming weeks.

Star apprentice Dittman has two quality mounts at the Gold Coast this Saturday after returning from a fall at Ipswich four months ago. "My weight has been really good (52kg) since I've been out and am really keen to get back in the saddle" said an excited Dittman.

Luke will partner the Steele Ryan trained Three Little Words in race 1 and Falzig for his boss Maryann Thexton in race 7.

Meanwhile, former SA premiership winning jockey Joe Bowditch is back doing trackwork after his horror fall at the Gold Coast last September. Bowditch, who suffered a broken leg and wrist is hopeful to return Saturday 23rd August at the Gold Coast. "I will ride at the Coast for a couple of weeks till I get my timing back and then it will be full steam ahead" said Bowditch.
